Abstract

In an experiment conducted from May, 2020 to April, 2021 the mean beetle population was highest during August, 2020 and least during January, 2021. Several meteorological factors were found to influence the fluctuation of the scarring beetle population. The mean beetle population showed positive and significant correlation with maximum and minimum temperatures, evening relative humidity and rainfall except morning relative humidity.
