Abstract

A comprehensive understanding of extension services is imperative for effective delivery. This article delves into the current status of extension service providers, probing the root causes of challenges encountered by agricultural research and development systems. While not every question posed receives a definitive answer, the discourse aims to shed light on these critical issues. The questions serve as a platform for understanding the nuances of the problems, helping to identify gaps in research, education, and extension endeavors. The core objective of the article is to encourage introspection, highlighting distinctions between the roles of extension educationists and service providers while dispelling misconceptions surrounding the extension concept. Recognizing that a well-framed question often paves the way for pertinent queries, the article advocates a thoughtful approach that fosters the evolution of suitable solutions for the benefit of stakeholders.
