Effectiveness of Anapana Meditation Technique on Management Stress

ABSTRACT

This study is experimental in nature. The following were the objectives of the study (1) To construct Anapana meditation technique for principals of secondary schools in Gujarat, (2) To study the effectiveness of Anapana meditation technique (AMT) on management stress in secondary schools male principals and (3) To study the effectiveness of AMT on management stress in secondary schools female principals The investigator was selected fifty principals of secondary schools in Gujarat as sample. Survey method was used. The principals of secondary schools in Gujarat were considered as population of the study. The investigator was selected fifty principals of secondary schools in Gujarat as sample in which twenty- five male and twenty-five female. Survey method was used. In this study the investigator constructed standardised Management Stress scale was used. To find out significant of difference between scores on management stress scale of two groups, statistical technique t-test was used. For that Mean and standard deviation (SD) of management stress scores on post-test (management stress scale) ofboth groups were calculated. The study revealed that (1) The AMT is approved effective in secondary schools male and female principals with referenced to reduce management stress and (2) The male and female principals of AMT (Anapana meditation technique)-group is more effective than NT (No treatment)-group after AMT with reference to management stress.
