Abstract

Forensic odontology is an integral part of forensic sciences. Forensic dental identifications, in times of mass disasters depend mainly on the availability of ante mortem dental records. Thus maintenance of detailed dental records of every patient by the dentist is very important for forensic dental identification. This article reviews basic as well as newer innovative methods of dental evidence which can play a key role to victim identification.
