Abstract Unerupted or ectopically erupting Maxillary Permanent Central Incisors are very challenging because of aesthetic problems and may further lead to problems such as arch length discrepancies, problem in oral hygiene maintenance etc. Factors to be considered for the treatment of an unerupted tooth are position and direction of tooth, degree of root completion and presence of space. This case report describes a method of surgical exposure of ectopically, partially, erupted tooth by Frenectomy. Surgical technique involved trimming of fibrous band and its complete removal, under local anesthesia. Exposure of tooth was achieved with complete removal of thick fibrous frenum in patient.
