Online published on 25 December, 2013. Abstract This study compare a cold lateral condensation and thermoplasticized carrier based guttapercha obturation technique (Thermaflo, Equinox). An extracted maxillary central incisor was mounted and sectioned, irregularities were created in apical third. Both the obturation techniques were compared on the bases of lenth of fill, replication of working length, replication of artificial depression, quality of replication of depressions and quality of obturation. The results obtained in the study were statistically tested using two group independent t- Test. Thermaflo group was seen with better replication of artificial depression and it extruded out of apical foramen while cold lateral condensation has better length control.
