Abstract Low incidence of Anaplasma marginale (1.33%), Babesia bigemina (2.19%), B. bovis (0.13%) and Trypanosoma evansi (0.40%) were reported among cattle of the project area of Mysore Cooperative Milk Producers' Union (MCMPU) of Karnataka State. Except B. bovis that was not recorded during northeast monsoon, other infections were observed throughout the year. Susceptibility of crossbred cattle to A. marginale was higher than that of indigenous cattle while reverse was true in the case of B. bigemina and T. evansi. Infection of B. bovis was confined to indigenous stocks. Higher incidence of A. marginale was noticed in cattle of 4–8 years and T. evansi in 6 months-1 year age group. Incidence rate of B. bigemina was found higher in calves below one year than in adults, whereas B. bovis infection was not recorded among calves.
