Thesis by the first author to University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad-580 005 Abstract The prevalence of ascariosis in buffalo calves in the rural areas around Veterinary College, Bidar was studied for a period of one year. A total of 1333 faecal samples were examined and the overall prevalence was 6%. The prevalence was higher in calves of 1–2 months age group.
