Abstract Protein - A enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), a modification of standard ELISA for serodiagnosis of Taenia solium was standardized in naturally infected pigs. Two antigens viz., whole cysticercal antigen (WCA) and scolex antigen (SA) were prepared and evaluated in naturally infected pigs. The sensitivity and specificity of protein A - ELISA was 76% and 73% with WCA and 80 and 83% with SA, respectively. Top Keywords Protein - A ELISA, Taenia solium, Pig, Serodiagnosis. Top |
