Abstract

Total rainfall, number of rainy days, days with temperature between 25–30°C were found more in epidemic years as compared to same in the non-epidemic ones. Significant and positive correlations were found between bacterial leaf blight severity and rainfall, number of rainy days and minimum relative humidity. Using significant correlations coefficients, multiple regression equations were derived with the help of CS 13 package and a computer based software for prediction of bacterial leaf blight was developed.
