Disease-weather relationships and forecasting of bacterial leaf blight of rice Sharma Vineet K., Thind T.S., Singh P.P., Mohan C., Arora J.K., Raj Prem Department of Plant Pathology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-141 004 Online published on 5 December, 2011. Abstract Total rainfall, number of rainy days, days with temperature between 25–30°C were found more in epidemic years as compared to same in the non-epidemic ones. Significant and positive correlations were found between bacterial leaf blight severity and rainfall, number of rainy days and minimum relative humidity. Using significant correlations coefficients, multiple regression equations were derived with the help of CS 13 package and a computer based software for prediction of bacterial leaf blight was developed. Top Keywords Rice, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, forecasting model, bacterial leaf blight, disease weather relationships. Top | |
