Abstract

With the great proliferation of information communication technologies during the last decade, the traditional library services have been considerable renovated, redesigned, and refurnished in a manner that the users’ community can no longer rely on the consultation of physical documents at a certain place and time. Therefore, information scientists have been constantly making all the permutations and combinations as to how the foundations of library systems and services can extensively satisfy the user centric approach. Library 2.0 is the utter alternative to this effect. This paper discusses library 2.0, web 2.0, library 2.0 ripples, elements of library 2.0, and emerging facets of library 2.0, which are of great interest to the teachers, students, research scholars and professionals of LIS.
