EDITORIAL

The creative ability of a teacher depends on translating the academic input which is vital for professional growth into class room learning outcome. The ingenuity of a teacher lies in compiling the practical experience with the theoretical framework and presenting the same to the students effectively. He also develops effective performance task for the students along with requisite assessment criteria to evaluate the students’ level of understanding and comprehension. The assessment tools are also accordingly designed to suit to the need of different levels of the students

An exposure to the field of research in the respective domain area greatly contributes in enhancing the teacher's performance criteria and development of effective classroom pedagogy. With the advent of large number of e-platforms, social networking media and proliferation of mobile devices there has been extensive networking across the globe. The application of domain knowledge with the help of technological development is facilitating in revamping the whole education system. Teacher should leverage these technological advancements in order to upgrade their contents, pedagogy and delivery in the best interest of the students, which will not only be an advantage for the students but also a big contribution to all the stakeholders at large. The time has changed now and so are the customers who have greater expectation from professional education. The teaching communities have got a greater responsibility to shoulder today and fulfill the present and future need of the society.

This issue of the journal Siddhant: A Journal of Decision Making presents seven research papers and one case study, focused on functional areas of management education such as Marketing, Finance and HR. The readers will find the inputs valuable and enriching. The editorial board of the journal looks forward to the valuable suggestions from the readers for improving the quality of the articles.
