Homecare Management of Autistic Children Among Caregivers

Abstract

Effectiveness of selected nursing interventions on knowledge and attitude regarding homecare management of Autistic children among caregivers, was done by using one group pre test post test design. The caregivers of 60 were selected by convenient sampling technique. Selected nursing intervention comprising of lecture cum discussion, demonstration and pamphlet formed the intervention of the study. The pre and post test level of knowledge and attitude on homecare management of Autism was assessed by structured knowledge questionnaire and B. Vickers modified attitude scale respectively. The result revealed that after the selected nursing interventions there was a significant improvement in knowledge and attitude regarding homecare management of Autistic children among caregivers.
