Level of Academic Stress Among Adolescents at Selected Setting

Abstract

A pre experimental research was conducted among 67 adolescents at selected school, Thiruvallur district using purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool utilized was Jiandong Sun's Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents. Results revealed that majority 67(100%) had moderate academic stress in pre test and 11 (14.93%) had moderate academic stress, 56(83.58%) had mild academic stress in post test. The study concluded that effective stress management strategies can prevent academic stress and suicide among adolescents.
