Impediments of cultural identity in a pluralistic society and information technology Dr. Bhattacharya Sanjay People & Culture Professional and Former Asst. Professor of Social Work, BSSS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, Email: mail2drsanjay@yahoo.co.in Online published on 13 March, 2018. Abstract Pluralism is a condition marked by the multiplicity of religions, ethnics groups, autonomous regions, or functional units within a single state; or a doctrine that holds such a multiplicity to be a good thing. India is not only a land of endless varieties from the geographical point of view but there are also a very great variety of races, which India presents through her teeming millions. IT promotes economic growth and social opportunity at the same time that it renders many traditional economic approaches less viable. Developing countries that are slow to act, or are not in a position to respond, are likely to find their ability to participate in the global economy and society thus diminishing increased existing inequalities. The risks are great, but so are the rewards Top Keywords Pluralism, culture, religion, developing countries, Regions. Top | |
