Habitat Study of Algal Vegetation of Almora with Special Reference to Terrestrial Forms Pandey Yogita, Joshi Hema Department of Botany, S. S. J. Campus of Kumaun University, Almora, (U.A.). Abstract Algae from soil and other terrestrial habitats were collected and described from Almora town and its vicinities. The distribution of Algal species was related to a combination of edaphic factors and to physiological characteristics of the plant. The soil flora includes representatives from Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae and diatoms.
