Abstract

Globally nations are in the phase of energy transition to decarbonize their economy. The nations also have to contribute in decreasing the effect of climate change. Nation like India which is set to become third largest economy in the world by 2030 in terms of nominal GDP also have to contribute. Honorable Prime Minister of India also gave a target that India will become carbon neutral by 2070. India have taken number of initiatives in renewable energy, electric vehicle and storage in recent years. Through this paper we tried to highlight and review the initiatives undertaken through budgetary allocations and new policy at both central and state level.
