Abstract Every year there is increase in agriculture credit but may be because of delivery system or other factors this has not changed the plight of farming community suicides are unabated indebtedness is increasing and money lenders are mush rooming this paradox is analyzed in this article. Special reference is taken that of Punjab as it has been epicenter of green revolution as well as other agriculture developments also special punctuation is carried on Punjab rural cooperative Banks as these are primarily meant for agriculture credit only.
