Abstract Stress among college students is a common phenomenon and is part and parcel of their life. Many social scientists have researched the topic to assess various reasons, effects of stress among college students in a given situation. On the basis of various studies probable solutions and management of stress have been suggested. The present study is also an endeavor on the same line to assess career and future settlement related stress among students of MLN College Yamuna Nagar and association of their stress with counseling and guidance services. The sample included on-campus students of commerce (B.Com Final Year) and science (BCA Final Year) streams. Sample size consists of 147 students (68 Male 79 Female). Career counseling and career guidance includes a wide spread of professional activities which focus on supporting students in dealing with career-related challenges - both preventively (best career options) and in difficult situations (as unemployment). The present study aims at finding whether there is stress among the students of college under study and whether any association exists between stress and career related counseling & guidance. Other objectives taken up are who is more likely to experience career related stress, what are the reasons, effects and probable solutions to career related stress among college students and what is the perception of student for career counseling and placement support activities to help students in managing and combating their "Career related Stress"? The findings of the study can serve as guidelines for the college to plan and prioritize the career advising related activities in academic calendar.
