Effectiveness of self help group - Bank linkage program on economic development of women Singh Ritu Research Scholar, BBD University , Lucknow Online published on 14 December, 2017. Abstract Women Self Help Groups have played an important role in strengthening the rural women by way of flow of money, which help to increase the per capita income of the family. Some challenging issues such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of accessibility of credit, unregulated and competitive market to sell their products and selection of different channel partners for selling and promoting of their business are crucial which makes an impact on socio-economic development of the members of the groups. In the light of this, the present study is being conceptualized to find out the present socio-economic status of women SHG members, their ongoing economic activities and the constraints they face with regard to marketing of their products with a viable price.
