Abstract

Cloud computing has impacted almost all the sectors significant in our life, be it healthcare, education, businesses, research and development etc. Cloud computing is evolved from the amalgamation of varied technologies such as grid computing, distributed computing, parallel computing etc. Due to its innumerable benefits, governments across the world are considering adopting it as an infrastructure to implement E-Governance. The primary reason for this adoption is non-requirement of infrastructure needed to offer e-services to public. Cloud computing provide service oriented access to end users without compromising on security. Hence, it is an ideal platform to host E-Governance services. This paper discusses how cloud computing can help government deliver e-services effectively.
