Abstract There are many investment avenues for an investor. The investor may make investment in stock market, fixed deposit and other deposit like saving deposit. Now a day's Mutual funds also an attractive investment avenues because it provides a lot of benefit to investors. Present study going to analysis the performance of mutual fund with the objective of “compares the performance of Banking Sector and Other Sector with reference to Reliance and Sahara Mutual Fund Schemes”. Three performance model is used in the study that are; Sharpe Ratio, Treynor Ratio and Jensen Ratio. Study found that the Reliance Banking Fund (Banking Sector) performs better than Reliance Consumption Fund (Other Sector) as per Sharpe Ratio and Treynor Ratio but both of sectors perform equal as per Jensen Ratio. Sharpe Ratio shows that, Sahara Banking fund perform well than Sahara REAL Fund but remaining Ratio (Treynor and Jensen) indicating that, Sahara REAL Fund performs better than Sahara Banking Fund.
