Factors affecting the banker's perception on virtual banking services in Varanasi District

Abstract

The banks of any country is an intermediary between the economy and the customers through which savings of one helps the development of the economy. India is fastly going towards the developed country and the banking sectors of India plays an important role in this thus in the same way virtual banking or e-banking provides more scope for the development of the country. With the introduction of virtual banking services in the country the development of the banking sector is increases and on the same time the profitability of the banks are also increases. Thus, the present study explores the various factors which affect the perception of public and private bank employees in terms of virtual banking services in Varanasi. For this a descriptive and exploratory study were conducted for which 100 responses are collected through the banks employees of the Varanasi district, which comprises the 50 employees from public banks and 50 employees from private banks. The chi-square test is used to found out the association between the employees of the both banks on the basis of their demographic profile. EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis) is used to explore the key factors. The EFA explores the total 7 factors which positively affect the perception of banks employees of the Varanasi regarding the use of virtual banking services. On the basis of the findings of the study some suggestions are provided to the both banks for the improvement of the virtual banking services in Varanasi district.
