Online published on 28 May, 2014. Abstract Prosthetic rehabilitation of acquired maxillary defects can be achieved satisfactorily if all the facets of treatment planning and design considerations are taken care of. The associated failures in this area can be due to the lack of acceptance by the patient or inefficiency of prosthesis itself. The rehabilitation of acquired maxillary defects should be aimed at reducing such failures by careful treatment planning and designing of the prosthesis. In the present case report, an acquired maxillary defect (Aramany class I) was treated with definitive hollow bulb obturator. Top Keywords Definitive obturator, hollow bulb obturator, acquired maxillary defect. Top | |
