Fifteen isolates of plant growth promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) were evaluated for their effect on various traits and plant growth. Two promising isolates were identified as Acinetobacter pittii (IS-05) and Rhizobium leguminosarum (IS-22), and characterized for their properties.
