Microhabitat of Hyophila involuta (Hook.) A. Jaeger

Abstract

Present study was undertaken on microhabitat of Hyophila involuta (Hook.) A. Jaeger, from its natural habitat and on concrete walls, at Palakkad district of Kerala. The mosses exhibited differences in micro-environment. The moss growing on man-made structures, showed poor association with microscopic communities.
