Online Published on 18 December, 2023. Abstract Many algal forms appear as green crusts on soil surface in rainy season. Myxophyceae secrete mucilage and become successful crust forming algae on moist soils. Seventeen filamentous non-heterocystous taxa of Genus Lyngbya, Schizothrix, Symploca and Microcoleus were observed from moist soils of Kondaibari ghat, situated on Dhule-Surat Road.
