Clinical evaluation of meloxicam, roficoxib and their combination with serratiopeptid ase during long term administration in dogs Nasare K.W., Jain Archana, Misraulia K.S. College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mhow (MP) – 453 446 Summary The side effects caused by Meloxicam, Rofecoxib and their combination with Serratiopeptidase when given I/M for a long time as anti inflammatory in 30 dogs were studied. There was no significant change in the clinical parameters like rectal temperature, pulse and respiratory rates in all treated groups when compared with the control group. It was observed that in healthy dogs meloxicam appears to be safe with regard to adverse effects on the gastro intestinal tract.
