Management of Facial Nerve Paralysis due to Railletia auris Infestation in a Buffalo

Abstract

A she buffalo was presented with unilateral facial paralysis. The etiology was identified by video-otoscopy as otitis media due to presence of Railletia auris, an ear mite. The buffalo showed uneventful recovery after treatment with Inj. Ivermectin and aural instillation of Flumethrin.
