Online published on 8 December, 2011. Abstract Osteomas are slow growing benign osteogenic tumors of the bone, which may arise from the proliferation of either cancellous or compact bone. They can be central, peripheral or extra skeletal. Though peripheral osteomas are commonly found in the paranasal sinuses, involvement of jaw bones by peripheral osteoma is uncommon. Here is a case of peripheral osteoma involving mandible in a 25 year old male reported illustrating the pathogenesis and review of literature. Key Words:Peripheral osteoma, Mandible Top |
