It is the innovative educational method for students to learn through the problem-solving skills. Research into problem-solving began since 1960’s. Particularly, the development in cognitive psychology influenced much of the research done on problem-solving skills. Such as Parnes (18581960), Torrance (1959), Cavington, Crutchfield & Davis (1966), Joyce Juntune (1979), Shaw & Cliatt (1986). The research is the attempt to develop the problem-solving skills through special training programme for IX standard students. Researcher studied open - end problems of the IX standard students are generally related to educational (learning) field and with the help of guide and expert he develop an training programme. A training programme will be consisting of twenty five sessions of forty five minutes prepared by the researcher by integrating various principles and techniques given by other experts to develop cognitive skills involved in the problem-solving process. The methods of research study are survey and experimental method, equivalent group design is selected for the research study. The programme is very effective on the both the levels.
